      第一節(jié)閱讀表達(共5小題，每2分，共10分)

      閱讀下面短文，并按照題目要求用英語回答問題（清注意問題后詞數(shù)要求)。

      Have you ever been hurt by words before? I know I have. Words can hurt as much as a hit in the nose or stomach. The words others speak can lower your self-esteem (自尊), but they can also make you feel proud or exited.

      One time, as I was playing with my fried and my brother, my brother told an embarrassing secret about  me to my friend. I was afraid of what my friend would think! But, instead of laughing at me, she told me that sometimes she did it too. Instead of bringing me down she kept my secret. I‘ve never forgotten how she defended me.

      When you laugh at people, they feel bad. When you say 'you only got 5120 on the math test', that‘s embarrassing. Words can be used to make you into a bully or make you a friend. You don‘t know the effect you can have on people with your words.

      Our family did an experiment with rice inspired by Dr. Maseru Emoto‘s rice experiment. My mom cooked up some white rice and divided it into two glass jars. One of the jars of rice had a mark with the word 'hate' on it; the other was marked 'love'_ We also 'talked' to the jars every day (I know it sounds strange but it‘s true). We told the 'hate' jar expressions like 'I hate you', 'you‘re so stupid', etc... To the 'love' jar we said words like 'you‘re so pretty‘. After a week the 'love' jar looked like it had barely come out of the pot. The 'hate' jar looked like it had moldy cobwebs (發(fā)霉的蜘蛛網) inside of it. Now it has been four weeks since we started. The rice in the 'hate' jar is sticking to the bottom like soup. The rice in the 'love‘ jar looks fresh. Even my sisters, who can‘t read, can tell :he difference!

      People act just like the rice in their own ways. They can either grow, be proud of themselves, and grow  well or they can wither (枯萎) inside. As Dr. Emoto says, 'Don‘t undervalue the power of thoughts. They have the ability to change the world.'

      第二節(jié) 短文改錯（共10小題，每小題1.5分，共15分)

      下面短文中有10處語法錯誤，請在有錯誤的地方增加、刪除或修改某個單詞.

      增加:在缺詞處加一個翻字符（︿)，并在其下面寫出該加的詞，

      側除:把多余的詞用斜線(\)劃掉。

      修改:在錯的詞下劃一橫線，并在該詞下寫出修改后的詞.

      注意:1.每句不超過兩個錯誤;

           2.每處錯誤及修改均限一詞

      I‘ll never forget the night when our car broken down. We were herding home affix a wonderfully evening with our fronds. It was well after midnight but we were still miles away from home. There was no traffics on the road, so we had to walk to home. Worse still, it started to rain, but by the time we got home, we were wet through. And it was then what we discovered that we had left our front door key in the car. We have no choice but break a window and climb in. Then an policeman came and we had to explain for him the situation. We went to bed at 3:00 am.
